Our Accreditations
Poynton Dippers Swimming Club work hard to maintain a set of recognised swimming club credentials including SwimMark Essential, SwimMark Network, and Clubmark. Each year we are required to submit our evidence which is a real team effort and includes contributions from all committee members.
SwimMark Essential Accredited
SwimMark Essential accreditation is Swim England’s recognised kitemark for the development of effective, ethical and sustainable affiliated clubs.
Poynton Dippers first became SwimMark Essential accredited in June 2016 and are now required to complete an annual renewal and a heath check process to maintain this status.
SwimMark Network Accredited
SwimMark Network accreditation recognises swimming clubs who work as part of a club network to deliver athlete pathways in the local area, and to ensure athletes meet their potential and are retained in the sport.
Poynton Dippers first became SwimMark Network accredited in May 2017 and belong to the Swim England Cheshire club network. A shared memorandum of understanding binds the club network and we meet at least four times a year.
Clubmark Accredited
Clubmark is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports Clubs. It stands for:
- Higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management in community sports Clubs
- Making sure the nation's sports Club infrastructure is safer, stronger and more successful
An accredited Club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages as well as helping parents and carers know that they're choosing the right Club for their young people.
Poynton Dippers first became Clubmark approved in June 2016. Clubmark shows our club provides the right environment which ensures the welfare of members and encourages everyone to enjoy sport and stay involved throughout their lives.
